Program Overview   

The Cutting Edge Leadership program is designed to deliver a comprehensive ‘tool kit’ full of highly useful and globally proven strategies for creating a more engaged team of employees. Recent engagement theories suggest that the style of leadership a leader uses has the biggest impact on the level of engagement their team has in their work and the organisation as a whole. Today, leaders require a diverse set of skills so they can successfully perform roles such as coach, mentor, manager and team player. In the Cutting Edge Leadership program, you will learn when to apply which style of leadership, what your preferred styles are and the various business related and people factors that affect your choices.

Program Outline

During the first day program, participants will learn and understand Systems Theory by Peter Senge and how this can be applied to all areas of Leadership and workplace performance. Participants will use a pre-completed self awareness development tool (either MBTI or DiSC) and will analyse and apply this personality profiling to their teams back at work. This study into self awareness is the corner stone of the two day program as it delivers participants a great knowledge into how they behave as a leader and the impact this has on their results and the team’s subsequent engagement levels. Participants will also use the Team Diagnostic (their teams can complete this online) and will be able to analyse these results and work out leadership strategies to enhance team outcomes.

On the second day of the two day program, participants will learn the Situational Leadership Model and how to apply this with their team as well as use the Emotionally Intelligent Leadership Styles Model. Both of these valuable tools will help the leader understand their preferred styles and enable them to apply the most useful style to whatever people, situation and desired outcomes are required.

The program concludes with each individual making work related commitments to create a leadership related project to enhance workplace and team performance and to create measurability within the workplace and ROI performance.
