Critical Communication

Program Overview

The success of almost everything that we do in the workplace and outside of it, is largely dependent on the quality of our communication. In this program, you will learn how to more effectively communicate, influence and lead others by understanding the concept of building rapport. The program explores rapport at the highest level and includes topics not normally found in other communication programs such as DISC Profiling, Sub-modalities (VAKAd) and the Meta-Model (a Neuro Linguistic Programming –NLP- technique which features amongst other techniques, advanced questioning methods). Following on from the actual program completion will be email and telephone coach for a period of one month in order to assist participants to make changes and implement the concepts from the program.

Program Outline

This course can be delivered in either one or two days, with the two day option exploring more in depth communication concepts. In the one day program, participants will begin by identifying their own preferred communication style (as determined by the pre-course completion of the Team 8 DISC 360 online profile). The styles of communication within DISC, will also be explored and each participant will learn what they need to do in order to create more successful outcomes in their interactions with different types of people.

Following DISC, the course will uncover the secret to building rapport with anyone. This section will explore sub-modality preferences, those being: Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic or Auditory Digital. This information allows you to communicate in a way that your target audience will relate to and understand. Throughout the program, there are numerous experiential games and activities for participants to apply what they are learning as well as case studies from real life workplaces.

The final part of the program deals with the amazing use of the Meta-Model to influence and lead others. Studying this, will enable participants to develop highly advanced questioning techniques that will see them be able to uncover vital information about others that will help build more effective and successful relationships.
