Program Overview   

Coaching is a critical skill that every leader or manager must have in today’s workplace. Organisations survive and thrive according to the unique skills and abilities of the people within. As a leader or manager, it is your role to ensure that your people are growing and improving both their work and personal capabilities. In this program you will learn how to conduct performance appraisals, identify skills gaps and utilise the “GROW Model” to coach your people to greater success for themselves and your organisation.

Program Outline

During the one day program, you will begin by identifying what coaching is and how it is used in the workplace. As well, we will discuss the difference between leadership, management and coaching so to understand when each of these unique skills should be used. Participants will explore the actual process of conducting performance appraisals and how to turn these into coaching sessions using the GROW Model and Gap Analysis.

Underpinning this process will be high level communication concepts of rapport, personality types and reframing methods as well as other useful techniques founded in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Some of these include advanced questioning techniques, methods for creating change and how to motivate your staff.

By the end of the program, participants will feel confident to be able to help create measurable improvements in their staff’s performances. Finally, each participant will be given ongoing coaching via phone and email so to put each learning objective of the program into practice.
