Program Overview 
The ability to build high performing teams is the most critical skill a leader needs to have in today’s workplace where team structures are the norm. This program will give you an abundance of knowledge and skills that will enable you as a leader, to create in your team more cohesion, respect and prosuctivity through enhanced understanding of work styles and personalities. As part of the preparation for the two day program, you and your team will complete your online Team 8 DISC 360 profiles. This knowledge will give you detailed understanding of the types of personalities within your team as well as an understanding of essential team dynamics. During the two day program, you will then use this information to build real life strategies relating to communication, role assignments, motivation needs and much more. As the Team Leader, you will leave with concrete strategies to put into immediate practice which willl deliver measurable performance improvements.
Program Outline
During the two day program, you will learn specific team theories and practical approaches to improve the performance of your team. We will explore the concept of Emotional Connection that must exist on three different levels within a team in order for it to perform at its capacity for the long term. This will include your Team’s Identity, Goals and Relationships. We will then gain an understanding of the theory of DISC Profiling and apply this to your Team. The individual team members profiles which all include 360 feedback will then be explored and you will discover what drives your individual team members and you will be able to create strategies to engage each team member on an individual level.
You will also learn about the Belbin Team Roles and associated theory which gives you an understanding of the need to fit team members into roles that suit their needs and abilities most effectively. As well, discover motivation strategies you can use and how to tailor this to individual team member’s needs.
Working with other Team Leaders, you will also read and create solutions for specific case studies before finally applying this information to your own Team. The program will also include follow email and phone coaching for the period of two months whilst you are implementing changes for improved performance.
